Mower Spindle Installation

9. Remove the nut, washer, key, and pulley from the

spindle shaft (Fig. 461).

10. Remove the mower blade. Remove the 4 bolts that

mount the spindle to the deck housing (Fig. 462).

11. Remove spindle from mower deck (Fig. 463).

Mower Spindle Removal

Estate Series and Pro 400 Series

This applies to removing any of the three mower

spindles. This procedure shows removing the right side

spindle.

1. Use a hoist or the Z-Stand to raise the front of the

mower deck.

2. Chock or block the drive wheels.

3. Disconnect the battery negative cable.

4. Lower the mower deck to the lowest position.
