Maintenance
ReplacingtheFuelFilter
ServiceInterval:Every200hours
Replacethefuellterafterevery200operatinghoursor
yearly,whicheveroccursrst.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuel
line.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedposition,andsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Allowthemachinetocooldown.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
5.Closethefuelshutoffvalve(Figure38).

slidethemawayfromthelter(Figure38).
7.Removethelterfromthefuellines.
8.Installanewlterandmovethehoseclampsclose

ServicingtheFuelTank
Incertainconditions,gasolineisextremely
ammableandhighlyexplosive.Areor
explosionfromgasolinecanburnyouand
othersandcandamageproperty.
•Draingasolinefromthefueltankwhenthe
engineiscold.Dothisoutdoorsinanopen
area.Wipeupanygasolinethatspills.
•Neversmokewhendraininggasoline,and
stayawayfromanopenameorwherea
sparkmayignitethegasolinefumes.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfacetoensurethat
thefueltanksdraincompletely.
2.Disengagethepowertakeoff(PTO),settheparking
brake,stoptheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Closethefuelshutoffvalve(Figure38).
4.Loosenthehoseclampatthefuellterandslideit
upthefuellineawayfromthefuellter(Figure38).
5.Disconnectthefuellinefromthefuellter
(Figure38).
6.Openthefuelshutoffvalve.
Note:Allowgasolinetodrainintoafuelcontainer
canordrainpan(Figure38).
Note:Nowisthebesttimetoinstallanewfuel
lterbecausethefueltankisempty.
7.Installthefuellineontothefuellter.Slidethehose
clampclosetothefuelltertosecurethefuelline
(Figure38).
