5. Pull the idler pulley in the direction shown (Fig. 424)
and roll the belt off of the pulleys.

7. Pull the idler pulley in the direction shown and route
the belt onto the idler pulley (Fig. 425).
8. Install the belt covers over the outside spindles.
6. Route the new belt around the engine pulley and
mower pulleys (Fig. 425).

The spring is under tension when installed and can
cause personal injury.
Be careful when removing the belt.
