Thepump-drive-pulleyalignmentisnecessaryforany
ofthefollowingconditions:
Theenginemountingboltshavebeenloosenedor
theenginehasbeenmovedorreplaced.
Thepumppulleyshavebeenloosened,moved,
orreplaced.
ThePTOpulleyhasbeenaligned;refertoAligning
thePump-DrivePulley(page49).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Loosenthesetscrewsonbothpumppulleys.
4.Usingastraightedge,aligneachpumppulley
withtheenginepulleybyslidingitalongthe
pumpshaft(Figure59).
5.Tightenthepulleysetscrewsandcheckthe
alignment.
