2.Torquetheshearboltsto922to1130N∙m(80
to100in-lb).

mowerdeck.
3.Installtheblade,washer,andbladebolttothe
spindleshaft(Figure66).
4.Torquethebladeboltto115to149N∙m(85-110
ft-lb).

WARNING
Operatingamowerdeckwithlooseor
weakenedbladeboltscanbedangerous.
Alooseorweakenedbladeboltcould
allowabladerotatingatahighspeed
tocomeoutfromunderthemower
deck,causingseriousinjuryorproperty
damage.
Replacethebladeboltafterstrikinga
foreignobject.
UseonlygenuineTororeplacement
parts.
Donotlubricatethethreadsofthe
boltorspindlebeforeassembly.
LevelingtheMowerDeck
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,movethe
speed-controllevertotheNEUTRALposition,
disengagetheblade-controlswitch(PTO),and
engagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Checkthetirepressureinthedrivetires;referto
CheckingtheTirePressure(page47).
4.Verifythatallhairpincottersareinthe7.62
cm(3inch)mower-deck-heightholeswiththe
spacersunderthehairpincotters(Figure69).
