ThePTObrakespringadjustmentisonlynecessaryifthe
blowerhasbeenremovedorreplacedorifthePTOdrive
idlerarmhasbeendisassembled.
1.Stopthemachineandmovethespeed-controllever
totheNEUTRALposition.
2.DisengagethePTO,engagetheparkingbrake,shutoff
theengine,andwaitforallmovingpartstostop.
3.Locatethebrakespringandthreadthe2jamnutsout
totheendofthebrakespringrod(Figure65).
4.Tightenthejamnutstogetheratendofthebrake-spring
rod.
