Speed-ControlLever
Thespeed-controlleversetsmaximumforwardspeedofthe
machine(Figure4).Movingspeed-controlleverrearwardto
theNEUTRALpositionplacesthedrivesystemintoneutral.
ThrottleControl
Thethrottleisusedtocontrolenginespeed.Thethrottle
controlisvariablebetweenFASTandSLOW.
ChokeControl(NotonEFImachines)
Thechokeisusedtoaidinstartingacoldengine.Movethe
choketotheCLOSED/ONpositiontostartacoldengine.
Note:DonotrunawarmenginewithchokeintheON
position.
BrakeLever
Thebrakeleverengagesaparkingbrakeonthedrivewheels
(Figure4).
IgnitionSwitch
Thisswitchisusedtostartthemowerengineandhas3
positions:START,RUN,andOFF.
HourMeter
Thehourmeterrecordsthenumberofhourstheenginehas
operated.Thehourmeterisrecordingwhenthedecimal
pointisashinginthehour/voltagedisplay.Usethesetimes
forschedulingregularmaintenance(Figure6).
