Also,contactwiththebladecouldoccur.
Neveroperatethelawnmowerunlessyouinstall
acoverplate,amulchplate,oragrasschuteand
catcher.
Makesurethegrassdeectorisinthedown
position.
1.Removethelocknut,bolt,springandspacerholding
thedeectortothepivotbrackets(Figure80).
2.Removethedamagedorworngrassdeector.
3.Placethespacerandspringontothegrassdeector.
PlacetheLendofthespringbehindthedeckedge.
Note:MakesuretheLendofthespringisinstalled
behindthedeckedgebeforeinstallingtheboltas
showninFigure80
4.Installtheboltandnut.
5.PlacetheJhookendofthespringaroundthegrass
deector(Figure80).
Important:Thegrassdeectormustbeableto
lowerdownintoposition.Liftthedeectorup
totestthatitlowersintothefulldownposition.
