Important:Useoilspeciedorequivalent.Other
uidscouldcausesystemdamage.
HydraulicSystemOilCapacity:132ounces(3.9l)
Checkthehydraulicuidlevel:
•Beforetheengineisrststarted.
•Aftertherst8operatinghours.
•Every25hoursaftertherst8operatinghours.
Note:Therearetwowaysofcheckingthehydraulicoil.
Oneiswhentheoiliswarmandoneiswhentheoilis
cold.Thebafeinsidethetankhastwolevelsdepending
iftheoiliswarmorcold.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurfaceandsetthe
parkingbrake.
2.Cleantheareaaroundllerneckofhydraulictank
(Figure61).
3.Removethecapfromthellerneck.Lookinsideto
checkifthereisuidinthereservoir(Figure61).
4.Ifthereisnouid,adduidtothereservoiruntilit
reachesthecoldlevelofthebafe.
5.Runthemachineatlowidlefor15minutestoallow
anyairtopurgeoutofthesystemandwarmthe
uid.RefertoStartingandStoppingtheEnginein
Operation,page15.
6.Rechecktheuidlevelwhiletheuidiswarm.The
uidshouldbebetweencoldandhot.
7.Ifrequired,adduidtothehydraulictank.
Note:Theuidlevelshouldbetothetopofthehot
levelofthebafe,whentheuidishot(Figure61).
8.Installcaponllerneck.

Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.
•Ifhydraulicuidisinjectedintotheskin
itmustbesurgicallyremovedwithinafew
hoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththistypeof
injury.Gangrenemayresultifthisisnot
done.
•Keepbodyandhandsawayfrompinhole
leaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks.
•Safelyrelieveallpressureinthehydraulic
systembeforeperforminganyworkonthe
hydraulicsystem.
•Makesureallhydraulicuidhosesand
linesareingoodconditionandallhydraulic
connectionsandttingsaretightbefore
applyingpressuretohydraulicsystem.
ReplacingtheHydraulicFilterandOil
Changethehydrauliclterandoilasfollows:
•Aftertherst25operatinghours.
•Changeyearlyaftertherst25operatinghours.
Usesummerlterabove32°F(0°C)
Usewinterlterbelow32°F(0°C)
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
