Brake Shaft Installation

7. Remove the brake shaft from the frame (Fig. 077).

8. Inspect brake shaft and ange bushings for

excessive wear (Fig. 078).

1. Install the ange bearing on the right side of the

shaft. From the outside of the frame, align the ange

bearing holes with the frame mounting holes. Install

mounting hardware and tighten (Fig. 079).

6. On the left side, remove the two bolts, spacers, and

nuts holding the ange bearing (Fig. 076).
