Positioning the Flow Baffle
The following figures are only recommendations for use.
Adjustments will vary by grass type, moisture content,
and height of grass.
Note: If the engine power draws down and the mower
ground speed is the same, open up the baffle.
Position A
This is the full rear position. The suggested use for this
position is a follows.
• Use for short, light grass mowing conditions.
• Use in dry conditions.
• For smaller grass clippings.
• Propels grass clippings farther away from the mower.

Use this position when bagging.

Position C
This is the full open position. The suggested use for this
position is as follows.
• Use in tall, dense grass mowing conditions.
• Use in wet conditions.
• Lowers the engine power consumption.
• Allows increased ground speed in heavy conditions.
• This position is similar to the benefits of the Toro SFS
mower.

Positioning the Seat
Changing the Seat Position
The seat can move forward and backward. Position the
seat where you have the best control of the machine and
are most comfortable.
1. To adjust, move the lever sideways to unlock seat
(Fig. 25).
2. Slide the seat to the desired position and release lever
to lock in position.
Changing the Seat Suspension
The seat can be adjusted to provide a smooth and
comfortable ride. Position the seat where you are most
comfortable.
1. To adjust, turn the knob in front either direction to
provide the best comfort (Fig. 25).
