1.Starttheengineandletitrunfor5minutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
3.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrolleversto
theneutrallockedpositionandsettheparkingbrake.
4.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
5.Placeapanbelowtheoildrain.Removethedrainplug
andlettheoildraincompletely(Figure44).
6.Removetheoilllercapfromthetopoftheengine
(Figure46).Thiswillhelptheoiltodrain.
7.Installthedrainplugandtightenitto25-1/2ft-lb
(35N-m).

Important:Thefastenersforthefrontenginepanelare
designedtoremainonthemachineaftercoverremoval.
Loosenallofthefastenersafewturnssothatthepanel
isloosebutstillattached,thengobackandloosenthem
untilthepanelcomesfree.Thiswillpreventyoufrom
accidentallystrippingtheboltsfreeoftheretainers.
1.Tilttheseatforward,loosenthebolts,andremovethe
frontenginepanel(
Figure45).
