UsingtheSideDischarge
Themowerhasahingedgrassdeectorthatdisperses
clippingstothesideanddowntowardtheturf.
DANGER
Withoutthegrassdeector,dischargecover,or
completegrasscatcherassemblymountedin
place,youandothersareexposedtobladecontact
andthrowndebris.Contactwithrotatingmower
blade(s)andthrowndebrismaycauseinjuryor
death.
•Neverremovethegrassdeectorfromthemower
becausethegrassdeectorroutesmaterialdown
towardtheturf.Ifthegrassdeectorisever
damaged,replaceitimmediately.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthemower.
•Nevertrytoclearthedischargeareaormower
bladesunlessyoumovethepowertakeoff(PTO)
totheOFFposition,rotatetheignitionkeyto
offandremovethekey.
•Makesurethatthegrassdeectorisinthedown
position.
OperatingwiththeOverheat
Sensor
ThismachinehasasensorthatturnsOFFthemowerdeck
whentheengineoverheats.Whentheengineoverheats,the
audiblealarmandlightalarmturnsONalongwiththemower
deckturningOFF.
IfthemowerdeckturnsOFFautomaticallybecauseof
overheating,drivethemachinetoasafeareaandtoatruck
ortrailer.
Ifthemachineoverheats,ensurethattheareaaroundthe
engineandradiatorisclearofanydebris.Turntheengineoff
andallowittocooldownbeforeyouengagethemowerdeck.
Iftheenginecontinuestooverheat,takeyourmachinetoan
AuthorizedServiceDealer.
TransportingtheMachine
Useaheavy-dutytrailerortrucktotransportthemachine.
Ensurethatthetrailerortruckhasallnecessarybrakes,
lighting,andmarkingasrequiredbylaw .Pleasecarefullyread
allthesafetyinstructions.Knowingthisinformationcould
helpyou,yourfamily,pets,orbystandersavoidinjury.
Totransportthemachine:
•Lockthebrakeandblockthewheels.
•Securelyfastenthemachinetothetrailerortruckwith
straps,chains,cable,orropes.
•Secureatrailertothetowingvehiclewithsafetychains.
WARNING
Drivingonthestreetorroadwaywithoutturn
signals,lights,reectivemarkings,oraslow
movingvehicleemblemisdangerousandcan
leadtoaccidentscausingpersonalinjury.
Donotdrivemachineonapublicstreetor
roadway.
LoadingtheMachine
Useextremecautionwhenloadingortheunloadingmachine
ontoatraileroratruck.Useafull-widthrampthatiswider
thanthemachineforthisprocedure.Backthemachineupthe
rampsanddriveitforwarddowntheramps(Figure32).

Important:Donotusenarrowindividualrampsfor
eachsideofthemachine.
Ensurethattherampislongenoughsothattheanglewith
thegrounddoesnotexceed15degrees(Figure33).Onat
ground,thisrequiresaramptobeatleast4timesaslongas
theheightofthetrailerortruckbedtotheground.Asteeper
anglemaycausemowercomponentstogetcaughtasthe
machinemovesfromtheramptothetrailerortruck.Steeper
anglesmayalsocausethemachinetotiporlosecontrol.If
youareloadingthemachineonornearaslope,positionthe
trailerortrucksothatitisonthedownsideoftheslopeand
therampextendsuptheslope.Thisminimizestheramp
angle.
