LubricatethemachinewhenshownontheCheckService
ReferenceAiddecal(Figure39).Greasemorefrequently
whenoperatingconditionsareextremelydustyorsandy.
GreaseType:General-purposegrease.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrolleversto
theneutrallockedpositionandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Cleanthegreasettingswitharag.Makesuretoscrape
anypaintoffthefrontofthetting(s).
4.Connectagreaseguntothetting.Pumpgrease
intothettingsuntilgreasebeginstooozeoutofthe
bearings.
5.Wipeupanyexcessgrease.

Pivots
ServiceInterval:Yearly
Lubricatethefrontcasterpivotsonceayear.
1.Removethedustcapandadjustthecasterpivots.
Keepthedustcapoffuntilgreasingisdone.Referto
AdjustingtheCasterPivotBearing(page46).
Removethehexplug.Threadagreasettingintothe
hole.
2.Pumpgreaseintothettinguntilitoozesoutaround
thetopbearing.
3.Removethegreasettinginthehole.Installthehex
plugandcap.
