blocktheopeningofthellerhole(Figure51).If
youaddoiltoofastorblockthehole,theoilcould
backupandfoultheairintakes,causingengine
damage.

1.Draintheoilfromtheengine;refertoChangingthe
EngineOil(page39).
Placeadrippanbeneaththeoildriptraytoreceiveoil
fromtheoillterandoilpassagesintheengine.
2.Turntheltercounterclockwisetoremoveit(Figure
52andFigure53).
Note:Disposeoftheoillterproperly.Recyclein
accordancewithlocalcodes.
3.Beforeinstallingthelter,lightlyoilthegasketonthe
lterwithfresh,cleanoil.Screwthelteronbyhand
untilthegasketcontactstheoillteradapter.Tighten
1/2to3/4turnmore.
4.Addoil;refertoAddingEngineOil(page39).
