1.StarttheenginewiththethrottleintheFastposition.
2.Turntheignitionkeyclockwisetotherunposition
(Figure14).
3.Pushtheglow-plugswitchfor10to15seconds.The
lightwillturnon.
4.Releasetheswitchafter10to15seconds.Thelight
willturnoff.
5.Turnthekeytothestartpositionandtheglowplug
indicatorlightwillcomebackon.Whentheengine
starts,releasethekey.
Important:Usestartingcyclesofnomorethan
30secondsperminutetoavoidoverheatingthe
startermotor.
Note:Donotusefuelleftoverfromthesummer.Use
onlyfreshwintergradedieselfuel.
StoppingtheEngine
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrolleversto
theneutrallockedpositionandsettheparkingbrake
(Figure16).
2.Movethethrottlelevermidwaybetweentheslowand
fastpositions(Figure15).
3.Lettheengineidlefor60seconds.
4.Turntheignitionkeytotheoffposition(Figure14).
Waitforallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
5.Removethekeytopreventpossibilityofsomeone
accidentallystartingthemachinebeforetransporting
orstoringmachine.
6.Closethefuel-selectorvalvebeforetransportingor
storingthemachine.
Important:Makesurethatthefuel-selector
valveisclosedbeforetransportingorstoring
themachine,asfuelleakagemayoccur.Setthe
parkingbrakebeforetransporting.
Important:Makesuretoremovethekeyasthe
fuelpumpmayrunandcausethebatterytolose
charge.
CAUTION
Childrenorbystandersmaybeinjuredifthey
attempttomoveoroperatethemachinewhile
itisunattended.
Alwaysremovetheignitionkeyandsetthe
parkingbrakewhenleavingthemachine
unattended,evenifjustforafewminutes.
