lterclockwiseuntiltherubbersealcontactsthe
lteradapter,thentightenthelteranadditional
2/3to3/4turn.

Note:Thewheelmotordrainplugsare
magnetic;wipethemcleanbeforeinstalling.
9.Removethell-portplugonthetopofeach
wheelmotor(Figure73).

12.Raisetherearofmachineupandsupportitwith
jackstands(orequivalentsupport)justhigh
enoughtoallowthedrivewheelstoturnfreely.
13.Starttheengineandcheckforuidleaks.
Allowtheenginetorunforabout5minutes,then
shutitoff.
14.After2minutes,checkthelevelofthehydraulic
uid;refertoCheckingtheHydraulic-FluidLevel
(page54).

matchingtheheightofcut(HOC).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
theblade-controlswitch,andengagetheparking
brake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Checktirepressureofthedrivetires.
Ifneeded,adjustto124kPa(18psi).
4.Positionthemowertothe76mm(3inches)
height-of-cutposition.
LevelingtheDeck
1.Positionthemachineonaatsurface.
2.Shutofftheengine,waitforallmovingpartsto
stop,removethekey,andengagetheparking
brake.
3.Checkthetirepressureinthedrivetires.
4.Usingthedeck-liftswitch,movethedeckheight
outofthetransportposition(or5-1/2inches
(140mm)cuttingheight).
