UsingtheSideDischarge
Themowerhasahingedgrassdeectorthat
dispersesclippingstothesideanddowntowardthe
turf.
DANGER
Withoutagrassdeector,dischargecover,or
acompletegrass-catcherassemblymounted
inplace,youandothersareexposedtoblade
contactandthrowndebris.Contactwith
rotatingmowerblade(s)andthrowndebris
willcauseinjuryordeath.
Neverremovethegrassdeectorfromthe
mowerdeckbecausethegrassdeector
routesmaterialdowntowardtheturf.Ifthe
grassdeectoriseverdamaged,replaceit
immediately.
Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerdeck.
Nevertrytoclearthedischargearea
ormowerbladesunlessyoumovethe
blade-controlswitch(PTO)totheOFF
position,rotatethekeyswitchtotheOFF
position,andremovethekeyfromthekey
switch.
Makesurethatthegrassdeectorisinthe
downposition.
AdjustingtheHeightofCut
Adjusttheheightofcutfrom25to140mm(1to5-1/2
inches)in6mm(1/4inch)incrementsbymovingthe
clevispinintodifferentholelocations.
1.Withtheenginerunning,pushthedeck-lift
switchrearwarduntilthemowerdeckisfully
raised,andreleasetheswitchimmediately.
2.Rotatetheheight-of-cutpinuntiltherollpin
initlinesupwiththeslotsintheholesinthe
height-of-cutbracketandremoveit(Figure25).
3.Inserttheheight-of-cutpinintothehole
correspondingtothedesiredcuttingheight
(Figure25).
Refertothedecalonthesideofthedeck-lift
platefortheheightsofcut(Figure25).
4.Usingthedeck-liftswitch,movethedeckheight
outofthetransportposition(or5-1/2inches(140
mm)cuttingheight)anddowntotheselected
height.
