1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnectthebatterybyremovingthenegativecablerst,thenthepositive
cablefromthebattery.
3.Removethefueltank.FuelT ankReplacement(page5–24)
4.RemovethehairpinsandROPSfoldpins.
5.LowertheupperROPSassemblytothefull-downposition.

lowerROPSassembly.
7.WhilesupportingtheupperROPSassembly,removetheRHshoulderbolt
securingtheupperROPSassemblytothelowerROPSassembly.

CAUTION
UpperROPSassemblyisheavy,assistanceorsupportisneededfor
removal.Personalinjuryordamagemayoccur.
8.LifttheupperROPSassemblyawayfromthemachine.
9.Removethe4(½inch,2perside)boltsandlocknutssecuringthelower
tubestothechassis.
