5.Lowertheunitandverifyproperfunction.
CoilResistanceMeasurementTest
IfthePTOclutchisnotengagingorissuspectasacauseofelectricalproblems,
usethefollowingelectricaltroubleshootingsteps.Theseprocedureswillhelp
determineiftheclutchhasfailedasaresultoforisthecauseofanelectrical
problem.
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnecttheclutchwireconnector.
3.Setthemulti-metertomeasureresistance(OHMssetting).
4.Connectthemeterleadwirestotheterminalsintheclutchconnector.
5.SeethePTOClutchElectricalSpecicationschart.

1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethePTO.Stopthe
engine,waitforallmovingpartstostopandremovethekey.Engagethe
parkingbrake.
2.Disconnecttheclutchwireconnector.
3.Setthemulti-metertomeasureresistance(OHMsetting).
4.Connectonemulti-meterleadtotheengine,chassisorbatteryground.
Connecttheothermulti-meterleadtoeachoftheclutchconnectorterminals.
5.Theclutchconnectorterminalsshouldneverhavecontinuitytogroundand
shouldbeOPENatalltimes.
6.IfcontinuityisfoundbetweenthePTOconnectorandground,thePTOclutch
andthePTOswitchmustbereplaced.
