whichcanignitefuelvapors.Areor
explosionfromfuelcanburnyouandothers
andcausepropertydamage.
•Alwaysplacefuelcontainersontheground
awayfromyourvehiclebeforelling.
•DoNotllfuelcontainersinsideavehicle
oronatruckortrailerbedbecauseinterior
carpetsorplastictruckbedlinersmay
insulatethecontainerandslowthelossof
anystaticcharge.
•Whenpractical,removegas-powered
equipmentfromthetruckortrailerand
refueltheequipmentwithitswheelsonthe
ground.
•Ifthisisnotpossible,thenrefuelsuch
equipmentonatruckortrailerfroma
portablecontainer,ratherthanfromafuel
dispensernozzle.
•Ifafueldispensernozzlemustbeused,
keepthenozzleincontactwiththerimof
thefueltankorcontaineropeningatall
timesuntilfuelingiscomplete.DoNotuse
anozzlelockopendevice.
WARNING
Fuelisharmfulorfatalifswallowed.
Long-termexposuretovaporshascaused
cancerinlaboratoryanimals.Failuretouse
cautionmaycauseseriousinjuryorillness.
•Avoidprolongedbreathingofvapors.
•Keepfaceawayfromnozzleandgas
tank/containeropening.
•Keepawayfromeyesandskin.
•Neversiphonbymouth.

Fueltankventislocatedinsidetheroll
bartube.Removingormodifyingtheroll
barcouldresultinfuelleakageandviolate
emissionsregulations.
•DoNotremoverollbar.
•DoNotweld,drill,ormodifyrollbarinany
way.
Tohelppreventres:
•Keepengineandengineareafreefrom
accumulationofgrass,leaves,excessivegrease
oroil,andotherdebriswhichcanaccumulatein
theseareas.
•Cleanupoilandfuelspillsandremovefuelsoaked
debris.
•Allowthemachinetocoolbeforestoringthe
machineinanyenclosure.DoNotstorenear
ameoranyenclosedareawhereopenpilotlights
orheatappliancesarepresent.

AddingFuel
RecommendedFuel
Theenginerunsonclean,freshdieselfuelwith
aminimumoctaneratingof40.Purchasefuelin
quantitiesthatcanbeusedwithin30daystoensure
fuelfreshness.
Usesummer-gradedieselfuel(No.2-D)at
temperaturesabove-7°C(20°F)andwinter-grade
dieselfuel(No.1-DorNo.1-D/2-Dblend)below
-7°C(20°F).Useofwinter-gradedieselfuelatlower
temperaturesprovideslowerashpointandpour
pointcharacteristics,thereforeeasingstartabilityand
lesseningchancesofchemicalseparationofthefuel
duetolowertemperatures(waxappearance,which
maypluglters).
Usingsummer-gradedieselfuelabove-7°C
(20°F)contributestowardlongerlifeofthepump
components.
Important:Donotusekeroseneorgasoline
insteadofdieselfuel.Failuretoobservethis
cautionwilldamagetheengine.
BiodieselReady
Thismachinecanalsouseabiodieselblendedfuel
ofuptoB20(20%biodiesel,80%petrodiesel).The
petrodieselportionshouldbeloworultralowsulfur.
Observethefollowingprecautions:
•Thebiodieselportionofthefuelmeetspecication
ASTMD6751orEN14214.
•TheblendedfuelcompositionshouldmeetASTM
D975orEN590.
