Purpose
This SPDT switch is typically used to test the lights on the interlock board.
When it is pushed in, the lights should come on.
How It Works
This small push button type switch is spring loaded so that the C and NC
terminals are connected. When the button is pushed, C and NC open, and
C and NO close. The switch is rated for 3 amps at 250 volts or 6 amps at
125 volts.
Testing
1. Disconnect the switch from the harness.
2. Verify the conditions in the table.
Part Numbers
113193
Purpose
Contacts on switch close when the switch body reaches a predetermined
temperature. (Usually used for hydraulic fluid.)
How It Works
A bimetal post inside the switch bends as the temperature rises. Once the
temperature is high enough, the top of the post makes contact with the
terminal to close the switch. The switch is set to close at 200° F. Normal oil
temperature is 180° F.
Testing
1. Disconnect the switch from the wiring harness.
2. Test the continuity between the body of the switch and the terminal at
room temperature. There should not be continuity.
3. If you have the ability to measure high temperatures, you can verify
operation of the switch in a liquid heated to the “switching”
temperature.
Caution: Be careful not to contact the heated liquid.
