•Inspectthemachinefrequentlytoensurethatit
isinsafeworkingconditionandthatshearbolts,
engine-mountingbolts,andotherfastenersare
properlytightened.
•Shutoffthemachineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostopbeforeyouleavetheoperator’sposition.
Disconnectthespark-plugwire,keepitawayfrom
theplugtopreventaccidentalstarting,andallow
themachinetocoolbeforeadjusting,fueling,
unclogging,servicing,cleaning,orstoringthe
machine.
•Wearglovesandeyeprotectionwhenservicing
themachine.
•Nevertamperwithsafetydevices.Checktheir
properoperationregularly.
•Toensureoptimumperformanceofthemachine,
useonlygenuineTororeplacementpartsand
accessories.Replacementpartsandaccessories
madebyothermanufacturerscouldbedangerous,
andsuchusecouldvoidtheproductwarranty.
•Replacetinesthatarebent,damaged,orloose;do
notrepairoralterthem.
•Keepthemachine,attachments,andaccessories
insafeworkingcondition.
•Donotattempttorepairthemachineunless
youhavethepropertoolsandinstructionsfor
disassembling,assembling,andrepairingthe
machine.
