• Keep Childr en Away – All visitors should be kept at a
distance from work area.
• Dr ess Pr operly – Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry . They can be caught in moving parts. Use of
work gloves and substantial footwear is recommended
when working outdoors. W ear protective hair covering
to contain long hair .

Don’t Overr each – Keep proper footing and balance
at all times.
• Stay Alert – W atch what you are doing. Use common
sense. Do not operate hedge trimmer when you are
tired.

Use Safety Glasses – Always use face or dust mask if
operation is dusty .
•
Use Right Appliance – Do not use appliance for any
job except that for which it is intended.
• A void Unintentional Starting – Don’ t carry hedge
trimmer with finger on switch.
• Danger – Risk of Cut – Keep Hands A way From
Blades – Keep both hands on handles when power is
on.

Don’t For ce Hedge T rimmer – It will do the job
better and with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the
rate for which it was designed.
• Do not cut branches over 3/8 inches (9.5 mm) thick.
• Do not attempt to remove cut material nor hold
material to be cut when blades are moving. Ensure that
the trigger is of f and the lock–of f button is not pressed
when clearing jammed material from blades. Do not
grasp the exposed cutting blades or cutting edges when
picking up or holding the hedge trimmer .
Maintenance and Storage
• Maintain Hedge T rimmer W ith Car e – Keep cutting
edge sharp and clean for best performance and to
reduce the risk of injury . Follow instructions for
lubricating and changing accessories. Keep handles
dry , clean, and free from oil and grease.
• Check Damaged Parts – Before further use of the
hedge trimmer , a guard or other part that is damaged
should be carefully checked to determine that it will
operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of
moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any
other condition that may af fect its operation. A guard
or other part that is damaged should be properly
repaired or replaced by an authorized service center
unless indicated elsewhere in this manual.
• Use only genuine T or o r eplacement batteries ,
available from your local Authorized Service Dealer .

Do not dispose of the battery in a fir e. The battery
may explode. Check with local codes for possible
special disposal instructions.
• Do not open or mutilate the battery . Released
chemicals may be corrosive and may cause damage to
the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
• Do not place battery on a metal surface. Battery
terminals may spark and or over heat if place on a
metal surface.
• Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short
the battery with conducting materials such as rings,
bracelets, and keys. The battery or conductor may
overheat and cause burns.
• When inserting batteries into this product, the proper
polarity or direction must be observed. Reverse
insertion of batteries can result in leakage or
explosion.

Ensure that the trigger is of f and the lock–of f button is
not pressed before servicing, cleaning, or removing
material from the hedge trimmer .

Always install the sheath over the blade when finished
using the trimmer .

location, out of reach of children.
