Starting Problems (continued)
Problem Possible Causes
Engine cranks, but does not start. Fuse (FB4 34 15 amp) is faulty
Main relay is faulty
Ignition switch is faulty
Fuel pump is faulty
Engine may be too cold.
Fuel run/stop solenoid or circuit wiring (including
fusible link) is faulty (Diesel engines only)
The glow plug circuit does not operate properly see
below (Diesel engines only)
Engine coolant temperature exceeds 240F (116C)
(Gasoline engine only)
Engine intake air temperature exceeds 190F (88C)
(Gasoline engine only)
The glow plug circuit does not operate properly
(Diesel engine only).
Wiring in the engine glow circuit (see Appendix A
Foldout Diagrams) is loose, corroded or damaged
Engine glow plug(s) is (are) faulty
The glow relay or glow plug controller is faulty
Fusible link harness at the engine starter motor is
faulty
Engine cranks (but should not)
with the traction pedal out of the neutral position.
without an Operator occupying the seat and
without the brake engaged
with spray pump enable switch on ON position
with optional clean rinse kit pump switch is in
the ON position
Neutral switch is out of adjustment, neutral switch or
circuit wiring is faulty
Seat switch or circuit wiring is faulty
Brake pedal switch strike plate is out of adjustment, or
brake pedal switch or circuit wiring is faulty
Spray pump enable switch or circuit wiring is faulty
Optional clean rinse kit pump switch or circuit wiring is
faulty
