AdjustingtheBrakes
Ifthebrakepedaltravelsmorethan2.5cm(1inch)
beforeyoufeelresistance,adjustthebrakesas
follows:
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,stopthe
pump,stoptheengine,andremovethekeyfrom
thestarterswitch.
2.Settheparkingbrake.
3.Puttheblocksunderthewheelstopreventthe
machinefromrolling.
4.Releasetheparkingbrake.
5.Loosenthefrontnutsonthebrakecablesunder
thefrontendofthesprayer(Figure68).

6.Tightentherearnutsequallyuntilthebrake
pedalmovesbetween1to2cm(1/2to1inch)
beforeyoufeelresistance(Figure68).
Important:Ensurethatyoutightenboth
rearnutsequallysothatthethreadedends
ofthebrakecablesinfrontofthefrontnuts
arethesamelength.
7.Tightenthefrontnuts.

Belt
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst8hours
Every100hours
Checktheconditionandtensionofthe
alternator/coolingfanbelt.Replacethebelt
asnecessary.
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,setthe
parkingbrake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,
andremovethekeyfromthestarterswitch.
2.Checkthetensionbydepressingthebeltmidway
betweenthealternatorandthecrankshaft
pulleyswith10kg(22lb)offorce.
Note:Thebeltshoulddeect10to12mm
(0.39to0.47inches).Ifthedeectionisnot
correct,goto3.Ifitiscorrect,youmayskip
theremainderofthisprocedureandresume
operatingthesprayer.
3.Loosentheboltsthatsecurethebracetothe
engineandtheboltthatsecuresthealternator
tothebrace(Figure69).
