CAUTION
Astheenginecontinuestorun,the
coolantwillbecomehotandpressurized.
Ifyouopentheradiatorcapwhenthe
coolantishot,itcouldsprayoutand
severelyburnyouorbystanders.
•Allowtheenginetocoolforatleast15
minutesbeforeopeningtheradiator
cap.Theradiatorcapmustbecoolto
thetouch.
•Wearprotectiveclothingandavoid
contactwithhotcoolantasyouopen
theradiatorcap.
10.Oncethecoolanthaswarmedup,topoffthe
coolantleveltothesealingsurfaceofthecap
andtightenthecap(Figure66).
11.Opentheexpansiontankcapandllthetank
withcoolanttotheColdlevel(Figure66).
12.Checkthecoolantlevelsafterseveralengine
startupandshutdowncycles.
Note:Addcoolanttotheradiatorandexpansion
tankasneeded.
