Drainandcleanthefueltankifthefuelsystem
becomescontaminatedorifyouplantostorethe
machineforanextendedperiod.Whencleaningthe
fueltank,usefresh,cleanfueltoushoutthetank.
1.Transferthefuelfromthetankintoanapproved
fuelcontainerusingasiphonpump,orremove
thetankfromthemachineandpourthefuelout
ofthetankllspoutintothefuelcontainer.
Note:Ifyouremovethefueltank,youwillneed
toremovethefuelsupplyandreturnhosesfrom
thestandpipeassemblybeforeremovingthe
tank,refertosteps1though4Removingthe
In-TankFuelFilter(page49).
2.Replacethefuellters;refertotheReplacing
theWaterSeparatorFilterCanister(page48).
3.Flushthetankwithfresh,cleanfuel,ifnecessary.
4.Installthetankifyouremovedit;refertostep1
through5inRemovingtheIn-TankFuelFilter
(page49).
5.Fillthetankwithfresh,cleanfuel.
