Note:Determinetheleftandrightsidesofthemachine
fromthenormaloperatingposition.
Useofthemanualreliefvalvemaycausethe
boomtomovesuddenlyandcauseinjurytoyou
orothers.
Takecautionandadjustthemanualrelief
valveslowly.
Ensurethesurroundingareaisclearand
nooneisinsidetheoperatingrangeofthe
boom.
Adjustingthemanualreliefvalvewithelectrical
powerpresentcouldcausetheactuatoroperate
irregularlyandcauseinjurytoyouorothers.
Do not
usethemanualreliefvalvewhile
electricalpowerisbeingsuppliedtothe
actuator.
Incaseofanemergencysuchthattheboommustbe
movedandno12VDCpowersourceisavailable,the
manualreliefvalvecanbeusedtorelievepressurewithin
theactuatorandallowtheboomstobemovedmanually.
Important:Themanualvalvemustnotbeloosened
morethan4turns.Turningthevalvemorethan4
turnsmaycausethevalvetocomeoffcompletely
allowinghydraulicoiltospillout.
1.Locatethemanualreliefvalveontheactuatorfor
eachboom.Themanualreliefvalveisthesmaller
valveandisonlyononesideoftheactuatorbody
(Figure61).

Note:Duetotheopposingorientationofactuators

theforwardfaceoftheleftboomactuatorandthe
rearfaceoftherightboomactuator.
2.Useahexagonalwrenchtoloosenthemanualrelief
valvenomorethan2-3turns.Thecylindershould
startstrokingmanuallyorbyexternalpressureatthis
time.
3.Oncetheoriginalpositionoftheactuatoris
recovered,closethemanualreliefvalve.Torquethe
valveto1.1-2.1ft-lb(1.5-2.9N-m).
InspectingtheNylonPivot
Bushings
ServiceInterval:Every400hours/Yearly(whichever
comesrst)
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremove
theignitionkey.
2.Extendtheboomstothespraypositionandsupport
theboomsusingstandsorstrapsfromalift.
3.Withtheweightoftheboomsupported,remove
theboltandnutsecuringthepivotpintotheboom
assembly(Figure62).Removethepivotpin.
