ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Checkthe
cooling-systemhosesforwearand
damage.
Coolingsystemcapacity:5.5L(5.8USqt)
Coolanttype:asolutionof50%waterand50%
permanentethyleneglycolantifreeze
Important:Donotaddcoolanttoanoverheated
engineuntiltheenginehasfullycooled.Adding
coolanttoanoverheatedenginemaycrackthe
engineblock.
Checktheengine-coolantconcentrationasdirected
bythecoolantmanufacturer.
CheckingtheCoolantLevel
ServiceInterval:BeforeeachuseordailyCheckthe
levelofcoolantintheradiatorand
theexpansiontankatthebeginning
ofeachdaybeforestartingthe
engine.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,thecoolant
maybehotandpressurized.Ifyouopen
theradiatorcapwhenthecoolantishot,it
couldsprayoutandseverelyburnyouor
bystanders.
Allowtheenginetocoolforatleast15
minutesbeforeopeningtheradiatorcap.
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake,shutoffthespray
pump,shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Carefullyremovetheradiatorcapandthe
expansion-tankcap(Figure88).

5.Ifthecoolantlevelislow,removethe
expansion-tankcapandtheradiatorcap,and
lltheexpansiontanktotheFullmarkandthe
radiatortothetopofthellerneck(Figure88).
Important:Donotoverlltheexpansion
tank.
Important:Donotusewateronlyoran
alcohol/methanol-basedcoolant.
