Tousethesprayer,youmustobtainandinstallnozzles.ContactyourAuthorizedToroDistributorfor
informationontheavailablesectionkitandaccessories.
Afteryouinstallyournozzlesandbeforeusingthesprayerforthersttime,adjustthesectionbypass
valvessothatthepressureandapplicationrateremainsthesameforallsectionswhenyouturn1or
moresectionsoff.RefertoSettingtheSection-BypassValves(page38).

Important:Operatingthespraysystemwith
theboom-hingespringsundertheincorrect
compressioncoulddamagetheboomassembly.
Measurethespringsandusethejamnutto
compressthespringsto3.96cm(1.56inches),if
necessary.
Thesprayermaycomewiththeboomextensions
swungforwardtofacilitateshippingthemachine.
Thespringsarenotfullytightenedatthetimeof
manufacturetoallowthepositionoftheboomsfor
transit.Beforeoperatingthemachine,adjustthe
springstothecorrectcompression.
1.Ifnecessary,removethepackingcomponents
thatsecuretherightandleftextensionbooms
duringshipping.
2.Supporttheboomswhiletheyareextendedto
thesprayposition.
3.Attheboomhinge,measurethecompressionof
theupperandlowerspringswhilethebooms
areintheextendedposition(Figure3).
