1.Ensurethatthesprayertankislledwithwater.
2.Engagetheparkingbrake.
3.Setthetransmissionasfollows:
•ForHD-SeriesModelswithamanual
transmission—shiftthetransmissiontothe
NEUTRALposition.
•FortheHDX-Automodel—shiftthe
transmissiontoP(park).
4.Turnonthesprayerpump.
5.SettheagitationswitchtotheONposition.
6.Setthemaster-sectionswitchtotheOFF
position.
7.Settheenginespeedasfollows:
•Formachineswithouttheoptionalthrottle
lock—have1personpressdownonthe
acceleratorpedaluntiltheenginereaches
maximumspeed.
Note:Havetheotherpersoncollect
samplesfromthesprayernozzles.
•Formachineswiththeoptionalthrottlelock,
pressdownontheacceleratorpedaluntilthe
enginereachesmaximumspeedandsetthe
throttlelock;refertooperationinstructions
foryourWorkmanhandthrottlekit.
8.Adjustthemastersection-bypasshandleto
controltheamountofagitationoccurringinthe
tank(Figure87).
9.Reducethethrottlespeedtoidle.
10.Settheagitationswitchandpumpswitchtothe
OFFposition.
11.Shutofftheengine.
