Donotoverlapareaswhereyouhavepreviously
sprayed.
Watchforpluggednozzles.Replaceallwornor
damagednozzles.
Usethemasterboomswitchtostopthesprayow
beforestoppingthesprayer.Oncestopped,use
theneutralenginespeedlocktoholdtheengine
speeduptokeeptheagitationrunning.
Youwillobtainbetterresultsifthesprayeris
movingwhenyouturntheboomson.
Watchforchangesintheapplicationratethatmay
indicatethatyourspeedhaschangedbeyondthe
rangeofthenozzlesorthereisaproblemwiththe
spraysystem.
CleaningtheSprayer
Important:Youmustalwaysemptyandclean
thesprayerimmediatelyaftereachuse.Failure
todosomaycausethechemicalstodryor
thickeninthelines,cloggingthepumpandother
components.
Note:InstalltheTankCleanRinseKitforoptimal
tankcleaning.
1.Stopthesprayer,settheparkingbrake,place
therangeselectorintheNeutralposition,and
turnofftheengine.
2.Usethetankdrainvalvetodrainanyunused
materialfromthetankanddisposeofitaccording
tolocalcodesandthematerialmanufacturer's
instructions.
Thetankdrainislocatedontheleftsideofthe
machine(Figure37).

3.Fillthetankwithatleast190L(50USgallons)
ofcleanfreshwaterandclosethecover.
Note:Youcanuseacleaning/neutralizing
agentinthewaterasneeded.Onthenalrinse,
useonlyclean,clearwater.
4.Starttheengine.
5.WiththeshiftleverintheNeutralposition,
engagethePTO,andsetthehandthrottle.
6.Ensurethattheagitationcontrolvalveisinthe
Onposition.
7.Setboththemasterboomswitchandboom
controlswitchestotheOnpositiontobegin
spraying.
8.Allowthewaterinthetanktosprayoutthough
thenozzles.
9.Checkthenozzlestoensurethattheyareall
sprayingcorrectly.
10.SetthemasterboomswitchtotheOffposition,
disengagethePTO,andstoptheengine.
11.Repeatsteps3through10atleast2moretimes
toensurethatthespraysystemisfullycleaned.
12.Cleanthestrainer;refertoCleaningtheSuction
Strainer(page45).
Important:Ifyouusedwetablepowder
chemicals,cleanthestraineraftereachtank.
13.Usingagardenhose,sprayofftheoutsideofthe
sprayerwithcleanwater.
14.Removethenozzlesandcleanthembyhand.
Replacedamagedorwornnozzles.
