Donotdrinkelectrolyteorallowitto
contactyourskin,eyesorclothing.Wear
safetyglassestoshieldyoureyesand
rubberglovestoprotectyourhands.
Fillthebatterywherecleanwaterisalways
availableforushingtheskin.
AddingWatertotheBattery
Thebesttimetoadddistilledwatertothebatteryisjust
beforeyouoperatethemachine.Thisletsthewatermix
thoroughlywiththeelectrolytesolution.
1.Cleanthetopofthebatterywithapapertowel.
2.Removethellercapsfromthebatteryandslowlyll
eachcellwithdistilledwateruntilthelevelisuptothe
llline.Replacethellercaps.
Important:Donotoverllthebattery.Electrolyte
willoverowontootherpartsofthesprayerand
severecorrosionanddeteriorationwillresult.
ChargingtheBattery
Important:Alwayskeepthebatteryfullycharged
(1.260specicgravity).Thisisespeciallyimportantto
preventbatterydamagewhenthetemperatureisbelow
32°F(0°C).
1.Removethebatteryfromthechassis;refertoRemoving
theBattery.
2.Checktheelectrolytelevel;refertoCheckingthe
ElectrolyteLevel.
3.Connecta3to4ampbatterychargertothebattery
posts.Chargethebatteryatarateof3to4amperesfor
4to8hours(12volts).Donotoverchargethebattery.
WARNING
Chargingthebatteryproducesgassesthatcan
explode.
Neversmokenearthebatteryandkeepsparks
andamesawayfrombattery.
4.Installthebatteryinthechassis;refertoInstallingthe
Battery.
StoringtheBattery
Ifthemachinewillbestoredformorethan30days,remove
thebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstoreitontheshelforon
themachine.Leavethecablesdisconnectedifitisstoredon
themachine.Storethebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoid
quickdeteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.Toprevent
thebatteryfromfreezing,makesureitisfullycharged.
