RemovingtheBattery
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremovethe
ignitionkey.
2.Thebatteryislocatedontherighthandsideofthe
machinebehindthepump(Figure55).

3.Disconnectthenegative(black)groundcablefromthe
batterypost.
WARNING
Incorrectbatterycableroutingcoulddamage
thesprayerandcablescausingsparks.Sparks
cancausethebatterygassestoexplode,
resultinginpersonalinjury.
•Alwaysdisconnectthenegative(black)
batterycablebeforedisconnectingthe
positive(red)cable.
•Alwaysreconnectthepositive(red)battery
cablebeforereconnectingthenegative
(black)cable.
WARNING
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscouldshort
againstmetalsprayercomponentscausing
sparks.Sparkscancausethebatterygassesto
explode,resultinginpersonalinjury.
•Whenremovingorinstallingthebattery,
donotallowthebatteryterminalstotouch
anymetalpartsofthesprayer.
•Donotallowmetaltoolstoshortbetween
thebatteryterminalsandmetalpartsof
thesprayer.
•Alwayskeepthebatterystrapinplaceto
protectandsecurethebattery.
4.Disconnectthepositive(red)cablefromthebattery
post.
5.Removethebatteryretainerandfasteners(Figure55).
6.Removethebattery.

ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Checkthebatterycable
connections.
1.Setthebatteryonthebatteryboxsothatthebattery
postsaretowardthefrontofthesprayer.
2.Installthebatteryretainerandsecureitwiththe
fastenersyouremovedpreviously(
Figure55).
Important:Alwayskeepthebatteryretainerin
placetoprotectandsecurethebattery.
3.Connectthepositive(red)cabletothepositive(+)
batterypostandthenegative(black)cabletothe
negative(-)batterypostusingtheboltsandwingnuts.
Slidetherubberbootoverthepositivebatterypost.
4.Installthebatterycoverandsecureitwiththe2knobs
(Figure55).
CheckingtheElectrolyteLevel
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Note:Whenthemachineisinstoragecheckthebattery
electrolytelevelevery30days.
1.Loosentheknobsonthesidesofthebatteryboxand
removethebatterycover(
Figure55).
2.Removethellercaps.Iftheelectrolyteisnotupto
thellline,addtherequiredamountofdistilledwater;
refertoAddingWatertotheBattery.
