CalibratingtheFlowmeter
Note:Performthiscalibrationprocedureeachtimenozzles
arechangedtoensurethegreatestaccuracy.
TheSprayPromonitorcomesapproximatelycalibratedfor
theowmeter.Completethefollowingproceduretonetune
theowmetercalibration:
1.Settheparkingbrake.
2.Fillthesprayertankwithaknownquantityofwater,at
least100USgallons(380L).
Note:Donotrelyonthemarksonthesideofthetank
formeasuringthewaterforthisprocedure.Theyare
approximatemeasurements,butnotaccurateenough
forthiscalibration.
3.SetthepumpswitchtotheOnpositiontostartthe
pump.
4.Setallthreeboomleversandthemasterspraylever
totheOnposition.Runtheboomsonlyuntiltheair
ispurgedfromtheline,thenturnthemoffusingthe
masterspraylever.
Important:Inordertoaccuratelyrecordthe
volume,allthreeboomvalves
must r emain on
during this pr ocedur e.
Turntheboomsoffusing
onlythemasterspraylever.Thissprayercannot
accuratelyreportcalibrationvolumewhenanyof
theboomvalvesareoff.
5.TurntheselectiondialtotheCalibrationVolume
position.
6.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntilthe
displayreads“0”.
7.SetthemasterspraylevertotheOnpositionandrun
theboomsuntilallthewaterisoutofthetank,then
stopthemusingthemasterspraylever.
8.Comparethevolumedisplayedonthemonitortothe
volumeofwateryouputintothetank.
Ifthevolumesarethesame,youdonotneedto
calibratethemonitoranyfurther.
Ifthevaluesaredifferent,continuewiththerest
ofthisprocedure.
9.TurntheselectiondialtotheFlowmeterCalibration
position.
10.PressandholdCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlighton
themonitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweentheowmeter
calibrationvalue(indicatedbytheword“CALonthe
monitor)andthecalibrationvolume.
11.Whenthecalibrationvolumeisdisplayed,usethe
IncreaseorDecreasecalibrationbuttonstochangeit
totheamountofwateryouputinthetank.
12.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,the
owmetercalibrationvaluewillhavechanged;write
thisnumberdownandsaveit.Thisisthecalibration
valueforyoursprayer.
13.PresstheCalibratebuttonuntiltheredlightturns
off.Youcanalsoexitcalibrationmodebydrivingthe
sprayer.
CalibratingtheSpeedSensor
TheSprayProcomesapproximatelycalibratedforthespeed
sensor.Completethefollowingproceduretonetunethe
speedsensorcalibration:
1.Checkandllalltires;refertoCheckingTirePressure
intheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
2.Fillthefreshwatertank.
3.Fillthesprayertankhalf-fullofwater.
4.Selectastraight,attrackofgroundthatissimilarto
yourturfconditions.
Note:Usingaroadorotherpavedsurfacecouldcause
aninaccuratereadingwhenyoulaterdrivethesprayer
onturf.
5.Measure500feet(or150m),markingboththestart
andendpoints.
6.Positionthesprayeratthestartingpoint.
7.SetthepumpandthemasterspraylevertotheOff
position.
8.TurntheselectiondialtotheCalibrationDistance
position.
9.PressandholdtheResetcalibrationbuttonuntilthe
displayreads“0”.
10.Drivethemachinefromthestartpointyoumarkedto
the500ft(or150m)endpoint.
11.Whenyoureachtheendpointstopthemachine.
12.Settheparkingbrake.
13.Lookatthedistancedisplayedonthemonitor.
Ifitreads“500feet(or150m)”,youdonotneed
tocalibratethemonitoranyfurther.
Ifitdoesnotread“500feet(or150m)”,continue
withtherestofthisprocedure.
14.WiththeselectiondialsettotheSpeedCalibration
position,pressandholdtheCalibratebuttonuntil
themonitordisplays“CALandtheredlightonthe
monitorilluminates.
Thedisplaywillalternatebetweenthedistanceandthe
speedcalibrationvalue(“CALshown).
15.Whenthedistanceisdisplayed,usetheIncreaseor
Decreasecalibrationbuttonstochangeitto500feet
(or150m).
16.Whenthedisplaybeginsalternatingagain,thespeed
calibrationvaluewillhavechanged;writethisnumber
downandsaveit.Thisisthecalibrationvalueforyour
sprayer.
