Storage
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,settheparking
brake,stopthepump,stoptheengine,andremove
theignitionkey.
2.Cleandirtandgrimefromtheentiremachine,
includingtheoutsideoftheengine’scylinderhead
nsandblowerhousing.
Important:Youcanwashthemachinewith
milddetergentandwater.Donotusehigh
pressurewatertowashthemachine.Pressure
washingmaydamagetheelectricalsystemor
washawaynecessarygreaseatfrictionpoints.
Avoidexcessiveuseofwater,especiallynearthe
controlpanel,lights,engine,andthebattery.
3.Cleanthespraysystem;refertotheCleaningthe
SprayersectioninOperation.
4.Addarustinhibiting,non-alcoholbased,RV
antifreezesolutiontothesystemandrunthepump
forafewminutestocirculateitthroughthesystem,
thendrainthespraysystemascompletelyaspossible.
5.Usetheboomliftswitchestoraisethebooms.Raise
theboomsuntilhavemovedcompletelyintoboom
transportcradleformingthe“X”transportposition
andtheboomcylindersarefullyretracted.Make
suretheboomcylindersarefullyretractedtoprevent
actuatorroddamage.
6.Inspectthebrakes;refertoInspectingtheBrakesin
theBrakeMaintenancesection.
7.Servicetheaircleaner;refertoServicingtheAir
CleanerintheEngineMaintenancesection.
8.Greasethesprayer;refertotheLubricationsection.
9.Changethecrankcaseoil;refertoServicingEngine
OilintheEngineMaintenancesection.
10.Checkthetirepressure;refertoCheckingtheTire
PressureintheDriveSystemMaintenancesection.
11.Forstorageover30days,preparethefuelsystem
asfollows:
A.Addapetroleumbasedstabilizer/conditionerto
fuelinthetank.
Followmixinginstructionsfromstabilizer
manufacturer.(1oz.pergallon).Donotusean
alcoholbasedstabilizer(ethanolormethanol).
Note:Afuelstabilizer/conditionerismost
effectivewhenmixedwithfreshgasolineand
usedatalltimes.
B.Runtheenginetodistributeconditionedfuel
throughthefuelsystem(5minutes).
C.Stoptheengine,allowittocool,anddrainthe
fueltank.
D.Restarttheengineandrunituntilitstops.
E.Choketheengine.
F.Startandruntheengineuntilitwillnotstart
again.
G.Disposeoffuelproperly.Recycleasperlocal
codes.

stabilizer/conditionedgasolineover90
days
12.Removethesparkplugsandchecktheircondition;
refertoChangingSparkPlugsintheEngine
Maintenancesection.
13.Withthesparkplugsremovedfromtheengine,pour
twotablespoonsofengineoilintothesparkplug
hole.
14.Usetheelectricstartertocranktheengineand
distributetheoilinsidethecylinder.
15.Installthesparkplugsandtightentorecommended
torque;refertoChangingSparkPlugsintheEngine
Maintenancesection.
Note:Donotinstallthewireonthesparkplug(s).
16.Removethebatteryfromthechassis,checkthe
electrolytelevel,andchargeitfully;refertoServicing
theBatteryintheElectricalSystemMaintenance
section.
Note:Donotconnectthebatterycablestothe
batterypostsduringstorage.
Important:Thebatterymustbefullycharged
topreventitfromfreezingandbeingdamaged
attemperaturesbelow32°F(0°C).Afully
chargedbatterymaintainsitschargeforabout
50daysattemperatureslowerthan40°F(4°C).
Ifthetemperatureswillbeabove40°F(4°C),
checkthewaterlevelinthebatteryandchargeit
every30days.
17.Checkandtightenallbolts,nuts,andscrews.Repair
orreplaceanypartthatisdamaged.
18.Checktheconditionofallsprayhoses,replacingany
thataredamagedorworn.
19.Tightenallhosettings.
20.Paintallscratchedorbaremetalsurfaces.
