CleaningtheAir-intakeScreen
Beforeeachuse,removeanybuildupofgrass,dirt,or
otherdebrisfromthecylinderandcylinder-headcooling
ns,theair-intakescreenontheywheelend,andthe
carburetor-governorleversandlinkage.Thiswillhelpensure
adequatecoolingandcorrectenginespeedandwillreduce
thepossibilityofoverheatingandmechanicaldamagetothe
engine.

Cleantheairintakescreenfromgrassanddebrisbeforeeach
use.
1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Removetheair-intakescreen,therecoilstarter,and
thefanhousing(Figure47).
4.Cleanthedebrisandgrassfromtheengineparts.
5.Installtheair-intakescreen,therecoilstarter,andthe
fanhousing(Figure47).
