1.DisengagethePTOandsettheparkingbrake.
2.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop
beforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
Important:Donotsubstituteautomotiveoil
lterorseverehydraulicsystemdamagemay
result.
3.Locatethelterunderthefueltankandplacedrain
panunderlter.
4.Removetheoldlter,allowtheoiltodrainandwipe
thelteradaptergasketsurfaceclean(
Figure60).
5.Applyathincoathydraulicuidtotherubbergasket
onthereplacementlter.
6.Installreplacementhydrauliclterontothelter
adapter.Donottighten.
7.Fillthehydraulictankwithhydraulicuiduntilthe
uidoverowsthelterandthenturntheoillter
clockwiseuntiltherubbergasketcontactsthelter
adapter,thentightenthelteranadditional1/2turn
(
Figure60).

11.Rechecklevelandadduid,ifrequired.Donot

BleedingtheHydraulicSystem
Thetractionsystemisselfbleeding,however,itmaybe
necessarytobleedthesystemifuidischangedorafter
workisperformedonthesystem.
Airmustbepurgedfromthehydraulicsystemwhenany
hydrauliccomponents,includingoillter,areremoved
oranyofthehydrauliclinesaredisconnected.The
criticalareaforpurgingairfromthehydraulicsystemis
betweentheoilreservoirandeachchargepumplocated
onthetopofeachvariabledisplacementpump.Air
inotherpartsofthehydraulicsystemwillbepurged
throughnormaloperationoncethechargepumpis
primed.
