Beforeeachuse,checkthebrakesonbothalevel
surfaceandslope.
Alwaysengagetheparkingbrakewhenyoushutoff
themachineorleaveitunattended.Iftheparking
brakedoesnotholdsecurely,adjustit.
CheckingtheBrakes
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceand
disengagethePTO.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
3.Engagetheparkingbrake.
Note:Thewheelsmustlockwhenyoutryto
pushthemachineforward.
4.Ifthewheelsdonotlock,adjustthebrakes.
RefertoAdjustingtheBrakes(page35).
5.Disengagethebrakeandpressuppercontrol
barverylightly,approximately13mm(1/2inch).
Note:Thewheelsshouldrotatefreely;ifnot,
refertoAdjustingtheBrakes(page35).
AdjustingtheBrakes
Iftheparkingbrakedoesnotholdsecurely,an
adjustmentisrequired.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,disengage
thePTO,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
