Training
•Read,understandandfollowallinstructionsonthe
machineandinthemanual(s)beforeoperatingthis
unit.Bethoroughlyfamiliarwiththecontrolsand
theproperuseoftheequipment.Knowhowtostop
theunitanddisengagethecontrolsquickly.
•Neverallowchildrentooperatetheequipment.
Neverallowadultstooperatetheequipmentwithout
properinstruction.
•Keeptheareaofoperationclearofallpersons,
particularlysmallchildren.
•Exercisecautiontoavoidslippingorfalling,
especiallywhenoperatingthesnowthrowerin
reverse.
Preparation
•Thoroughlyinspecttheareawheretheequipmentis
tobeusedandremovealldoormats,sleds,boards,
wires,andotherforeignobjects.
•Disengageallclutchesandshiftintoneutralbefore
startingtheengine.
•Donotoperatetheequipmentwithoutwearing
adequatewintergarments.Avoidloosetting
clothingthatcangetcaughtinmovingparts.Wear
footwearthatwillimprovefootingonslippery
surfaces.
•Handlefuelwithcare;itishighlyammable.
–Useanapprovedfuelcontainer.
–Neveraddfueltoarunningengineorhotengine.
–Fillfueltankoutdoorswithextremecare.Never
llfueltankindoors.
–Neverllcontainersinsideavehicleorona
truckortrailerbedwithaplasticliner.Always
placecontainersontheground,awayfromyour
vehicle,beforelling.
