1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure73).Ifthe
edgesarenotsharporhavenicks,removeand
sharpentheblades.RefertoSharpeningthe
Blades(page39).
2.Inspecttheblades,especiallythesailarea
(Figure73).Ifyounoticeanydamage,wear,ora
slotforminginthisarea(Figure73),immediately
installanewblade.
DANGER
Ifyouallowthebladetowear,aslotwill
formbetweenthesailandatpartofthe
blade.Eventuallyapieceoftheblade
maybreakoffandbethrownfromunder
thehousing,possiblyresultinginserious
injuryordeathtoyouorbystanders.
Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwear
ordamage.
Nevertrytostraightenabladethat
isbentorweldabrokenorcracked
blade.
Replaceawornordamagedblade.
