ServicingtheBlades
Maintainsharpbladesthroughoutthecuttingseason
becausesharpbladescutcleanlywithouttearingor
shreddingthegrassblades.Tearingandshredding
turnsgrassbrownattheedges,whichslowsgrowth
andincreasesthechanceofdisease.
Checkthebladesdailyforsharpness,andforany
wearordamage.Sharpenthebladesasnecessary.
Ifabladeisdamagedorworn,replaceitimmediately
withagenuineT ororeplacementblade.
DANGER
Themowerbladesaresharpandcaninjure
you.
Wearheavyleatherorcutresistantgloves
whenservicingwiththeblades.
DANGER
Awornordamagedbladecanbreak,anda
pieceofthebladecouldbethrowntowardyou
orabystander,resultinginseriouspersonal
injuryordeath.
•Inspectthebladeperiodicallyforwearor
damage.
•Replaceawornordamagedblade.

Note:Youneedthemowerinstalledtothetow
vehiclewhenservicingthemowerblades.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemachinetoa
levelsurface,andengagetheparkingbrake.
2.Raiseandlatchthemowerdecks,shutoffthe
engine,andremovethekey(Figure69).
