CANCELsettingtocancelarunningparkedorrecovery
regenerationprocess.
1.AccesstheDPFRegenerationmenu,scroll
downtothePARKEDREGENoptionorthe
RECOVERYREGENoption.
2.PressthenextscreentocancelaParkedRegen
orcancelaRecoveryRegen.
StartingtheEngine
1.Sitontheoperatorsseatandfastentheseat
belt.
2.Ensurethattheparkingbrakeisengagedand
thePTOisdisengaged.
3.Preheattheenginebyrotatingthekeyswitchto
theON/PREHEATposition.
Note:Anautomatictimercontrolsthepreheat
for6seconds.
4.RotatethekeytotheSTARTposition,crankthe
enginefornolongerthan15seconds,andallow
thekeytoreturntotheON/PREHEATposition.
Note:Ifadditionalpreheatingisrequired,
turnthekeytotheOFFposition,thentothe
ON/PREHEATposition.Repeatthisprocessas
needed.
5.Movethethrottletoidlespeedorpartialthrottle
andruntheengineuntilitwarmsup.
ResettingthePTOFunction
Note:Ifyouleavetheoperator’sseatwhilethe
PTOswitchisintheONposition,themachinewill
automaticallyshutofftheengine.
PerformthefollowingtoresetthePTOfunction:
1.PushdownthePTOswitch.
2.Starttheengine;refertoStartingtheEngine
(page36).
3.PullupthePTOswitch.
ShuttingOfftheEngine
1.Usethethrottlecontroltolowertheengine
speed.
2.MovethePTOswitchtotheOFFposition.
3.RotatethekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionand
removethekeyfromtheswitch.

GeneralSafety
Shutofftheengine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovementtostopbeforeyouleavethe
operatorsposition.Allowthemachinetocool
beforeadjusting,servicing,cleaning,orstoringit.
Cleangrassanddebrisfromthecuttingunits,
mufers,andenginecompartmenttohelpprevent
res.Cleanupoilorfuelspills.
Ifthecuttingunitsareinthetransportposition,use
thepositivemechanicallock(ifavailable)before
youleavethemachineunattended.
Allowtheenginetocoolbeforestoringthemachine
inanyenclosure.
Removethekeyandshutoffthefuel(ifequipped)
beforestoringorhaulingthemachine.
Neverstorethemachineorfuelcontainerwhere
thereisanopename,spark,orpilotlight,such
asonawaterheateroronotherappliances.
Maintainandcleantheseatbelt(s)asnecessary
ServicingtheCuttingUnit
YoucanrotatethecuttingunitfromtheTRANSPORT
position(AinFigure33)totheSERVICEposition(Bin
Figure33).UsetheSERVICEpositiontomaintainthe
cuttingunitbladesorcleanunderneaththecutting
unit;refertoyourcuttingunitOperator’sManual.
