D.Toinstallthetractionpedalpotentiometer(item18inFigure327),slightly
pressandholdthetractionpedalinreverse.Aligntheslotattheendof
thepedalshaftwiththeslotinthepotentiometer.Slidethepotentiometer
ontothescrewsandreleasethepedal.Holdthepotentiometerinposition
whileyouinstallthecaptureplate(item17inFigure327)andlocknuts
(item16inFigure327).
E.Torquethelocknuts(item16inFigure327)to1.5to1.9N∙m(13to17
in-lb).
F.Loosenthehexnut(item24inFigure327)tocalibratethepotentiometer.
Also,donotinstallthespringcover(item15inFigure327)andtraction
pedalcover(item26inFigure327)untilyoucompletethecalibration
ofthepotentiometer.
2.Connectthemachinewireharnessconnectorintothetractionpedal
potentiometer(item18inFigure328).
3.Afteryoucompletetheassemblyofthetractionpedal,calibratethetraction
pedalpotentiometerusingtheInfoCenterdisplay;refertoCalibratingthe
TractionPedal(page5–98).
4.Ensurethatyoutightenthehexnut(item24inFigure327)afterthe
potentiometeradjustment.
5.Installthespringcover(item15inFigure327)andtractionpedalcover(item
26inFigure327).
