2.Removethebolt(item6inFigure313)andlocknut(item5inFigure313)that
securestherodendoftherearimpactarmtothecuttingdeckconnection.
3.Locateandremovethespacer(item29inFigure313)fromeachsideof
therodend.
4.Removethelocknut(item15inFigure313)andlockwasher(item16in
Figure313)thatsecurestherearimpactarmpivotshaft(item12inFigure
313).
5.Slidethepivotshaftfromthepivothubandimpactarmclevis.Removethe
rearimpactarmassemblyfromthemachine.
DisassemblingtheWingDeckRearImpactArmAssembly
1.Disassemblethewingdeckrearimpactarmassembly;refertoFigure313.
2.Cleantherearimpactarmcomponentsandinspectforwornparts.Replace
thecomponentsasrequired.
AssemblingtheWingDeckRearImpactArmAssembly
1.Slidetheplainwasher(item21inFigure313),compressionspring(item23
inFigure313),secondplainwasher(item21inFigure313),plasticbearing
(item22inFigure313),thirdplainwasher(item21inFigure313),andthen
theatwasher(item20inFigure313)ontothespringshaft.
2.Thread1jamnut(item19inFigure313)ontotheshaftandtightenitsothat
thespringlengthis304.8mm(12inches).
3.Slidethehousing(item26inFigure313)ontotherodendoftheassembled
springshaft.
4.Inserttheassemblyintotherearimpactarmhousing(item17inFigure313).
5.Temporarilyattachthehousing(item26inFigure313)totherearimpact
armhousingwiththe2bolts(item3inFigure313)and2angenuts(item
18inFigure313).
IMPORTANT
Removealltheendplayfromthespringshaftassemblyforcorrect
operationandtoensureitslonglife.
6.Holdtheendofthespringshaft.Pushinandpullouttheshafttodetermineif
anyendplayexistsinthespringshaftassembly.
7.Ifendplayinthespringshaftassemblyexists,accessthejamnutthroughthe
openendoftherearimpactarmhousingandinserta3/4inchsocketonto
thejamnut(item19inFigure313)onthespringshaft.Loosenthejamnut
untilyouremovealltheendplayintheshaft.
8.Whenthereisnoendplayinthespringshaftassembly,removethe2bolts
and2angenutsthatattachthehousing(item26inFigure313)totherear
impactarmhousing.Removethespringshaftassemblyfromthehousing.
9.Threadthesecondjamnut(item19inFigure313)ontotheendofthespring
shaft.
