cablestothebattery.Ensurethatyoumakeagoodconnection.
4.Chargethebatteryfollowingthebatterychargermanufacturer’sinstructions.
5.Occasionallycheckthetemperatureofthebatteryelectrolyte.Ifthe
temperatureismorethan52°C(125°F)ortheelectrolyteisviolentlygassing
orspewing,lowerandtemporarilystopthechargingrate.
6.Threehoursbeforetheendofthecharging,measurethespecicgravityofa
batterycellonceperhour.
Note:Thebatteryisfullychargedwhenthecellsaregassingfreelyatalow
chargingrateandthereislessthana0.003changeinspecicgravityfor3
readings,1aftertheother.
