1.Tractioncontrolmanifold2.Solenoidcoil(portS)
Therearenumeroushydraulicvalvesolenoidcoilsonthehydraulicmanifoldsof
themachine.Whenthesolenoidcoilsareenergized,thehydraulic-valveshift
occurstocontrolthehydraulicow.Testingofthesesolenoidcoilscanbedone
withthesolenoidcoilonthehydraulicvalve.

Note:TheInfoCenterdisplaydoesnotidentifyadamagedsolenoidcoilor
solenoidcircuitwiringproblem.TheInfoCenterdisplayveriesthattheoutput
currentfromtheTECisavailableforthesolenoidcoilbutthedisplaydoesnot
verifythatthesolenoidcoilandcircuitwiringisfunctioningcorrectly.
1.Identifythesolenoidcoilthatmustbetested.
2.Disconnectthewireharnesselectricalconnectorfromthehydraulicsolenoid
valvecoilthatmustbetested.
Note:Beforetakingthesmallresistancereadingswithadigitalmultimeter,
shortthemultimetertestleadstogether.Themultimeterdisplaysasmall
resistancevalue(usually0.5ohmsorless)thatisbecauseoftheinternal
resistanceofthemultimeterandtestleads.Subtractthisvaluefromthe
measuredvalueofthecomponentthatyouaretesting.
3.Useamultimeter(ohmssetting),measuretheresistancebetweenthe2
connectorterminalsonthesolenoidcoil.Theresistanceforthesolenoid
coilsisidentiedbelow:
