RemovingtheHydraulicOilCooler(continued)
4.Cleantheexterioroftheoilcoolerandhydraulichosesbeforeremovingthe
oilcoolertopreventcontaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
5.Removetheoilcooler;refertoFigure155.
6.Useaback-upwrenchontheoilcoolerttingstoremovethehydraulichoses
fromthettings.Installcapsorplugsontheoilcoolerandhydraulichose
openingstopreventcontamination.
InspectingtheHydraulicOilCooler
1.Backushtheoilcoolerwithcleaningsolvent.Aftercleaningthecooler,
ensurethatallthesolventisdrainedfromthecooler.
CAUTION
Usetheeyeprotectionsuchasgoggleswhenusingthecompressed
air.
2.Usethecompressedairintheoppositedirectionoftheuidowtodrythe
interiorsoftheoilcooler.
3.Installplugsonbothendsoftheoilcooler.Cleantheexterioroftheoilcooler
andensurethatallthensareclearofdirtandunwantedmaterial.
Note:Ensurethattheoilcoolerisfreefromcorrosion,crackedtubes,and
excessivepittingoftubes.
InstallingtheHydraulicOilCooler
1.Removethecapsorplugsthatwereinstalledduringtheremovalprocess.
2.Installtheoilcooler;refertoFigure155.
3.Useaback-upwrenchontheoilcoolerttingstoinstallthehydraulichoses
tothettings.
4.Fillthereservoirwiththecorrectquantityofnewhydraulicuid.
5.Lowerthehoodandsecureit.
