2.IfthediagnosticdisplayveriesthatthePTOswitchandcircuitwiringare
functioningcorrectly,thennomoreswitchtestingisnecessary.
3.IfthediagnosticdisplaydeterminesthatthePTOswitchandcircuitwiringare
notfunctioningcorrectly,thentestthePTOswitch.
4.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionandthekeyisremoved
fromthekeyswitch.
5.DisassembletheconsolearmtogetaccesstothePTOswitch;referto
DisassemblingtheConsoleArm(page7–20).
6.TheswitchterminalsaremarkedasinFigure237.Thecircuitlogicof
thePTOswitchisintheCircuitLogicT able(page5–51).Withtheuseof
amultimeter(ohmssetting),testtheswitchfunctionstodetermineifthe
continuityexistsbetweenthevariousterminalsforeachposition.Checkthe
continuitybetweentheswitchterminals.Replacetheswitchifthetesting
identiesadamagedswitch.
7.Connectthewireharnessconnectortotheswitchaftertesting.
8.Iftheswitchtestingiscorrectandthecircuitproblemstillexists,checkthe
wireharness;refertotheWiringSchematicandCircuitDrawingsinChapter
10—FoldoutDrawings.
9.Assembletheconsolearmcover;refertoAssemblingtheConsoleArm
(page7–21).
